Shades of Noir – 10 years 10 items and many contributors

We are inviting you to join us at the celebration event displaying some archived material of Shades of Noirs 10 years.

Shades of Noir is proud to celebrate of a decade of growth, development and impact!

This display of our archived history, at Central Saint Martins, showcases artefacts of where we have been, where we are now, and where we are going.

Each phase of Shades of Noir has heralded new initiatives and approaches to change. A committed group of teams and contributors have supported Aisha Richards in delivering dynamic programs of and for marginalised groups. This includes supporting the need for safe spaces to celebrate, encourage, critique and give voice to present student and academic liberation.

Starting with Richard’s original paper ‘Any Room at the Inn’ (2009), unseen artefacts from our archive will be displayed alongside new academic resources. Literature, journals, and more will all be presented together, to celebrate our collective legacy and commitment to the creative sector social justice and anti-racist movement.

This display will be available from 15 April

We very much hope that you can join us. Tours of displays start at 5pm and reception from 6pm

Salute!
