Content Developer – Writing blogs, attending events, creating visual content.

Web, Design, Media Developer – Maintaining our websites, taking a lead on designing publications, filming and editing event footage.

Please note for logistical reasons, these jobs are currently only open to current UAL students and recent alumni. All roles are managed through UAL Arts Temps and are for an initial 6 Months, with scope to extend involvement after review.

Content Developer – 6h/w

 

Person Spec.

  • Interest in equality
  • Solid writing skills
  • Professional, with excellent communication skills
  • Must be creative
  • Some filming and editing knowledge
  • Works well in a fast paced start-up environment
  • Able to identify new trends
  • Working knowledge of Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Linkedin
  • Extremely well-organised, methodical and efficient, with a good dose of common sense and initiative
  • Excellent knowledge of topical creative industry and general news and events
  • Strong MS Word & Excel skills with an understanding of Photoshop
Duties
  • Keen interest in equality
  • Contribute to website content
  • Write copy for product and postings for website and other SoN mediums
  • Liaise internally and externally
  • Upload editorial content to our website and social media sites
  • Help research & generate new ideas for content
  • Attend conference (with opportunity to take part with SoN team)
  • Film and edit video interviews
  • Liaise with Web Manager & PR team
  • Interview persons in Higher education and creative industries
  • Dealing with enquiries
  • Build on mailing list
  • Managing press cuttings

  • Working Knowledge of WordPress Systems
Duties
  • Keen interest in equality
  • Liaise internally and externally
  • Upload TUABI Archived content to the SoN website
  • Help research & generate new content based on the TUABI Archive
  • Film and edit video interviews with TUABI Students
  • Liaise with Content Developers to disseminate TUABI Work
  • Working with TUABI Staff to achieve expectations.

 


Web, Design, Media Developer – 10h/w

Person Spec.
  • Interest and enthusiasm about issues related to equality and creative practice
  • Systematic, very organised, and able to work independently.
  • Able to liaise with other members of the team and developers to maintain smooth functioning of the site and other design functions
  • Should be able to understand and manage the technical aspects of running a website and blog.
  • Have a strong eye for design for publications.
  • Understanding of web structure/html and familiarity with working on the back end.
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of WordPress.
  • Knowledgeable about social media platforms and the norms and best practices that apply to each.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Design suite
  • Some blogging experience is preferred
  • Confident with filming and editing processes.
Duties
  • Regularly updating and managing website and blog
  • Checking site for bugs, and add new functionality when needed
  • Improving accessibility of websites
  • Developing new websites for education and conference projects
  • SoN Resource database: New entries have to be vetted and added to all channels each weekly
  • Updating events and additional content weekly
  • Designing publications – promotional and educational
  • Filming and Editing event footage
