Originally from Querétaro, Mexico, has been a professional tattoo artist body piercer and a body modification artist for over 25 years. Currently based in New York City, he holds a BS in graphic design and an MA in Art Education. Adan has always collaborated with political collectives through art and direct action. Additionally, he has worked directly with the community through keeping his indigenous traditions, ceremonial dance, Sweatlodges, Indigenous ceremonies and also teaching in the NY school system. Adan strongly believes that culture is a political stance too, and empowers his community creating a bridge between the modern life in cities and ancient traditions.
