Shades of Noir recently had the opportunity to sit down with actor, writer and director Daniel York in a discussion about representation of East Asians in the UK media.
Ranging from topics concerning his personal experiences of attending drama school, to the various obstacles he faced as a young actor going into the business, Daniel speaks to us about the continuing prejudices BAME actors face today and how his organisation – the BEAA (British East Asian Artists) – aims to even the playing field for all East Asian practitioners in the creative sector.
