Limelight Night: Documenting subculture

10th May 2017 7pm

2 Granary Square

Kings Cross

How can illustrators document the many faces of our society and create a true picture of the world we live in? Our regular evening of six-minute provocations returns.

Reportage driven by a passion to interpret the world as it evolves around us can generate the most poignant and honest documentation. With our current exhibition Jo Brocklehurst Nobodies and Somebodies to inspire us, Limelight Night returns with a line up of up to 10 artists, illustrators and collectors to share their passion for documenting subculture. Speakers include:

Isabelle Bricknall artist, co-curator of our exhibition and Jo Brocklehurst’s model and muse
Sue Dray fashion illustrator and course leader at London College of Fashion

Limelight Night is an evening of quick fire presentations. Each guest speaker has six minutes to make their point. It’s the eclectic mix of opinion, experience and shifting perspective that make these nights a refreshing journey into the world of illustration.
