Visible Faces in White Spaces: UAL Open Call

Shades of Noir (SoN) has been invited to provide a window exhibition at CSM this March to April.

The title of the exhibition is ‘Visible Faces in White Spaces’.  This title is building on BA Rhian Spenser’s work ‘Black Faces in White Spaces’

SoN is looking to collate pictures of people of colour from around the institution. The aim is to create a body of images that shows the presence and impact people of colour have at UAL.

They hope to have well over 100 pictures to illustrate a collective visibility; so please pass on these details for contributions to students and staff of Colour in your societies, departments or on your courses.

We will be offering the opportunity to have your photo taken by SoN’s very own photographer. These shoots will take place across three locations in the coming weeks.

Friday 24th Feb @ CSM

Monday 27th Feb @ LCF HH

Friday 3rd March @ LCC

If you are a student and you would like to have your society’s photo to be taken either altogether or in small groups, that is also possible and we would be happy to arrange separate times to accommodate this.

To participate please fill in the following form below

Additionally please put in your diary the 21 March (PM) for the official unveiling of the display, more details to follow soon.
